The Reestablishment of Relations between Modern Information Technology and School Education in the Process of Educational Reform

Modern information technology (IT for short) has penetrated into every field of life and aroused great research attention. Studies on the role of technology in education from a view of educational reform is one of the trends on international education and technology research since the 21st century. This article attempts to explore the utilization of information technology in both inside and outside-school education with the consideration of both its advantages and limitations. With extensive analysis of three parts as the combination of IT and school education, IT’s promotion to inside-school education, and its support to outside-school education, the conclusion is tentatively proposed: only by reestablishing the relations between IT and school education based on the human development, would it be possible to make people’s high expectation on education realized.
